MONDAY THE 5TH OF AUGUST
Its a bank holiday Monday in southern Ireland but a normal day in Lughill kennels , I had hounds to deliver that we’re sold and needed bits and pieces from the supermarket and at the kennels we did maintenance work did a tidy up and it has rained all day which makes the feeding and all outdoor work all harder .
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT UNDERWATER.
Tuesday 6th August:
Were doing Tuesday – Saturdays journals on Saturday morning as its been a very busy week. Ten gorgeous pups were born from King Elvis. Mother and pups are doing fantastic. We needed meat and food for pups once again. At the kennels we prepared more hounds for schooling.
Wednesday 7th August:
The first job on Wednesday was Ross Myles came to the yard to collect hounds that were going to the UK. I did our weekly run to the vets. We changed all the beds in all the kennels. We did maintenance work and a tidy up around the yard.
Thursday 8th August:
The main job on Thursday was trialing at Kilkenny so we fed up early. We needed a heap of supplies so I had them all to collect. It was another day of mixed weather.
Friday 9th August:
Friday was a busy day as we got the grass cut in the rearing paddocks. We also got a delivery of Red Mills, Time and Kasco dog food. Once again I had to collect meat. There was also a trip to the hardware to get wood and carpets to make beds for mothers and pups.
Saturday 10th August:
We need more meat as our suppliers are sharing it out at the moment. Its extra work collecting it but at least everything were getting is top quality. We have John O’Reilly here checking hounds that are schooling. We need food for pups. We will do a swap around of hounds later on this afternoon.

SUNDAY 11TH AUGUST:
It will be a typical Sunday where we do the paperwork, make all the lists for the coming week, collect food for pups from the supermarket. We will also tidy the website up
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT YARMOUTH SWIFT UNKIND. TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT CRAYFORD SWIFT QUINCEY AND AT TOWCESTER SWIFT GIDDY.
