MONDAY 4TH OF SEPTEMBER
The weathers been fantastic today in southern Ireland, it was a typical Monday where we had to be fed up for lunch time and kennels all done. We needed food for pups and the traffic on the way to Dublin today and back was a nightmare, but at 66 years of age I don’t mind when we are handslipping hounds like I did today, and the buzz of seeing flying machines going around Shelbourne Park is still there like the day I started.
TUESDAY 5TH OF SEPTEMBER
The weather has been good today, the first job of the day was a trip to the vets for passport work to be finished then the hounds left for the UK with Michael Flynn. we had all the wasted to go to the dump as well.at the kennels we wormed pups did a tide up around the yard.
WEDNESDAY 6TH OF SEPTEMBER
We are doing Wednesdays journal on Sunday morning, the weather has been red hot all week but it did not cause any problems thankfully, we got the grass cut in the rearing paddocks, we needed meat and we did a swap around with kennel dogs, pups and saplings and mother and pups rom pupping down sheds to concrete yards and from concrete yards to rearing paddocks and from the rearing paddocks to kennels
THURSDAY 7TH OF SEPTEMBER
We are doing Thursdays journal on Sunday morning, first the good news, I was in hospital for a minor operation on Thursday and everything went well and I was home at 5 o clock I was worried to death as they thought I could have a major problem but thankfully all went well and it all came back clear of cancer, at the kennels we had a brood have pups we got a delivery of dog food and we did a tidy up.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT HOVE SWIFT BARNEY.
FRIDAY 8TH OF SEPTEMBER
We are doing Fridays journal on Sunday morning, we needed more meat and we prepared hounds for schooling very early in the morning, we did the kennels and fed up late and the day went well.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD THREE RUNNERS AT ROMFORD MISS BIG PANTS, DUBAI KID AND SWIFT WRIGHTY.
SATURDAY 9TH OF SEPTEMBER
We are doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning, we had run out of red mills so I had to go to Gorebridge to collect the pallet to keep us going we needed food for pups, carpets to make beds for mother and pups and a whole load of bits and pieces, we are cutting hedges for the last time this year and we got all hounds checked by John O Reilly that are schooling.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWELVE RUNNERS AT CRAYFORD HITTHELIDS STEVO. SWIFT MAGNITUDE ,SWIFT ALIEN. SWIFT JOCK AND SWIFT DANIEL. AT OXFORD SWIFT QUARINTINE AND BRISK BONO AT YARMOUTH SWIFT ICONIC ,SUPA NOVA ,SWIFT LOVES AND BROWN EYED BOY
SUNDAY 10TH OF SEPTEMBER
Today is last of the good weather, it will be a typical Sunday where we cook ,clean kennels and feed, do the paperwork and tidy the website up, we will continue on cutting the hedges and we will make more beds and boxes for mother and pups
