WEEK STARTING MONDAY THE 30TH OF SEPTEMBER

MONDAY THE 30TH OF SEPTEMBER

The weather has been a lot colder the last day or two. We needed all our waste away We also needed meat, tripe and chicken at the kennels we got more supplies delivered I also did the weekly trip to the vets plus a run to the cash and carry.

 

TUESDAY THE 1ST OF OCTOBER

We have hounds that are sold to go to the UK so we will have to get the paperwork organized. We had heavy rain overnight. As we do the journal at 10 am it’s raining again so there will no outside work today. We have broods in season so stud dogs will have to be picked and we have bagged dog food on the way so that will have to be packed away.

WEDNESDAY THE 2ST OF OCTOBER

A very busy day. We have an artic load of paper coming so that will have to be emptied and packed away.  Padgies wife has offered to come and clean my house which badly needs doing.  We have small bits of maintenance work to finish off. If the day goes well we’ll start repairing the drain out side my house. Newcastle made it into the last 16 of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, after a low-key victory over the League Two Wombles in a rearranged Third Round tie.

THURSDAY 3RD OCTOBER:

Like all Thursdays now we had to feed up early for the main job of the day, trialing at Kilkenny. We needed food for pups, I had muzzles to collect and a whole lot of bits and pieces. I was back at the vets on Thursday evening and we didn’t get the website done until 8pm.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT HOVE: SWIFT PAVLO AND CLONA URIEL.

FRIDAY 4TH OCTOBER:

Meat is still scarce in Southern Ireland but one of our suppliers had a nice bit of meat that was top class and will keep us going for another while. The whole day was taken up at the kennels with preparing hounds for schooling. The day went well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT ROMFORD: SWIFT GIDDY, SWIFT DEPOT AND YOU TWO.

SATURDAY 5TH OCTOBER:

We needed more meat. We got all our waste away. The 202 van is away for a service. John O’Reilly has been here checking all the hounds that are schooling. We have a tidy up to do around the yard. I’m having an early finish to watch the soccer this afternoon.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD: SWIFT DEPOT. TONIGHT WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT CENTRAL PARK: SWIFT DELTA. AT PERRY BARR: SWIFT REGINA AND TOO WRIGHT. AT OXFORD: SWIFT TANYA AND TWO THINGS.

SUNDAY 6TH OCTOBER:

Like all Sundays we will cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We will also get caught up with paperwork, tidy the website and prepare the lists for the coming week.
