MONDAY THE 25TH OF NOVEMBER
A cold dry day we had to be fed up early as we were trialing in Shelbourne park the traffic was good on the way up and back but we had to wait 2 and a half hours for our trials . We did maintenance work at the kennels . The 191 van goes for a service tonight and a bit of work has to be done on it as well . It was 30 years today since i came to Ireland to live and breed greyhounds but i didn’t move to Lughill kennels until April the year after.

TUESDAY THE 26TH OF NOVEMBER
Another cold dry day and the frost didn’t go until lunchtime . I was in cash and carry and the were short in stock so i will have to go to Dublin tomorrow to get disinfectant and I also had to go to the motor factors to get more parts to the 191 van . Newcastle were terrible last night against West ham all we could do at the kennels was a tidy and keep dogs warm.
WEDNESDAY THE 27TH OF NOVEMBER
Another very cold morning with heavy frost which lasted all day. We went to the cash and carry to collect disinfectant and we were also at tri collecting calcium. My head lad had a day off so i was the boss once again . We did a bit of a tidy up and i ordered loads of supplies preparing for Christmas.
THURSDAY THE 28TH OF NOVEMBER
I have been to the vets for our weekly trips , when I left the kennels this morning it was -5 degrees . When i got to Cashel an hour later it was +7 degrees I couldn’t believe it . There was no trials in Kilkenny so we are now trialing tomorrow Friday the 29th of November and the forecast is good . I had to stroke of luck tonight as the 202 van has burst a water pipe and Kuba pagies son was coming to do the website for me and spotted the leak before it was to late as the temperature gauge has not moved or no warning lights had came on to the dash . We also got a delivery of time dog food .
FRIDAY THE 29TH OF NOVEMBER
We are down to one van as the water pump and front wheel bearing has gone so the 202 van is at the garage we hope to have it back for Monday so the first job today was Dublin to get parts , I was back in good time for trials at Kilkenny . It rained all morning but it stopped before the trials thank goodness . We have a busy weekend a head of us .

SATURDAY THE 30TH OF NOVEMBER
It was cold and dry and we had plenty to do. There was meat to collect, hounds to gallop and a load of maintenance work to do. Hopefully we will get the 202 van back as the mechanic was working on it all day today. We changed the beds in all the kennels. Newcastle United got a draw and never had one shot on goal. They are terrible at the minute.

SUNDAY THE 1ST OF DECEMBER
A typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. If we get the van back we will collect more meat, chicken and tripe. We have the paperwork to do and the website to tidy up. We will check the broods to see if any are in season and we’ll give the place a good tidy up.
