MONDAY THE 1ST OF APRIL
Its 29 years today since I moved into Lughill kennels and its my birthday day on Wednesday and I am 67 years old if I had my life again I would definitely done the same and spent the last 29 years in Ireland at Lughill kennels. . It was a bank holiday Monday , I went to collect breakfast cereal at the kennels we got last of the worming done along with the nail cutting of hounds. The weather was good and the day went well .
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO RUNNER AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT OFFICE AND SWIFT VACCINE
TUESDAY THE 2ND OF APRIL
An overcast day but I think the rain will hold off, we got all our waste away which was the first job of today we we’re fed up by 11:30 so the next job is the main job of today trailing in Shelbourne park, Newcastle united have another big game for their push for Europe I think we will win easy.
WEDNESDAY THE 3RD OF APRIL
Another overcast day but again I don’t think it will rain, we have broods in season so I already been to Richard’s Cully with swift jacket and she will be going to Hawkfield Ozark. The sales department has been busy thanks to everybody who bought a hound. We have hounds that are sold leaving to go to their new owners in the UK and Ireland , Newcastle united did not play at their best last night .
THURSDAY THE 4TH OF APRIL
Another overcast day but I don’t think we will get rain , we are getting work done to the 191 van as it is going for a annul test, at the kennels we are leveling out sand runs and we are doing a swap around with pups , saplings and kennel dogs from rearing paddocks to kennels and pups from the big concrete yards to rearing paddocks.
FRIDAY THE 5TH OF APRIL
Another day where the weather wasn’t to bad but there is a storm on its way, we continued on leveling the sand runs out changed all the beds in all the kennels , got all the waste all to the dump and also we needed a load of supplies which all got collect
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS AT OXFORD MERLINS MATE, DUBAI KID AND SWIFT ICONIC, AT ROMFORD SWIFT WAFFLE, SWIFT GIDDY AND SWIFT INDIGO.
SATURDAY 6TH APRIL:
Ireland has a storm forecast but thankfully up to now as we do the journal at 2pm it hasnt been too bad. We have collected meat, we had John O’Reilly here checking all the hounds that are schooling. We’ve done homework with hounds in preparation for Monday at Shelbourne Park. My next job is watching Newcastle United against Fulham where we need a result to keep our European hopes up.

SUNDAY 7TH APRIL:
Were doing Sundays journal on Saturday afternoon as my head lad Padgie has the day off. I will be completely in charge on Sunday. It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean and feed. We have paperwork to do and we will prepare for a busy week. I hope the storm thats forecast for Saturday doesnt do any damage.
