MONDAY THE 15TH OF JULY
The weather was good and the first job of today was to collect soup mix Swift Hazel is a little bit better so fingers crossed and we had paperwork to prepare for hounds that we’re sold going to the UK the sales department has been busy so thanks to everybody that bought a hound . At the kennels we had baby pups to worm and we also trimmed their nails. On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on the list Swift depot at Yarmouth.
TUESDAY THE 16TH OF JULY
The first job of the day was getting the waste away as we changed beds in all the kennels and houses in the rearing paddocks ,we had broods that has been mated to collect, we need a trip to the cash and carry and a load of bits and pieces to collect from vets supplies , hardware and shops, we had the second batch of hounds that are sold leave with Ross Myles for the UK and his right hand man Darragh collected them from our yard which makes it easy .
WEDNESDAY THE 17TH JULY
Another nice day and the first job today is to collect meat the first good news of the day swift hazel is on the mend as she is miles better thank goodness
THURSDAY THE 18TH JULY
A busy day from start to finish yesterday. I was in the vets at 9 o’clock collecting supplies and I had to get food for pups from a supermarket on the way back along with muzzles and a whole load of bits and pieces. We started leveling the sand runs out, hedge cutting as well and the main job yesterday was trialing in Kilkenny.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD 4 RUNNERS MOHICAN CLIVE, MOHICAN ZOA, MOHICAN FLORENCE AT SWINDON AND AT NEWCASTLE UNANIMOUS LEON.
FRIDAY THE 19TH JULY
Another nice day and we are continuing on doing the sand runs and hedge cutting. We needed meat so that had to be collected, parts for the mincer, service kit for the 191 van and disinfectant. John O’Reilly was here checking all the hounds. The sale department has been very busy thanks to everybody who bought the hound and the last job of the day is to delivered the hound that is sold to Cashel.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT SWINDON MOHICAN CLIVE TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT ROMFORD FAB ROY.
SATURDAY 20TH JULY:
We start the journal off with the sad news the Swift Hazel who breed group one winners had to be put to sleep as she deteriorated badly overnight. RIP Hazel. We needed meat as all our suppliers are only rationing it out as its very short in Southern Ireland. We also need food for pups. The whole day has been taken up preparing more hounds for schooling. It was a wet day as well which makes outside work difficult.

SUNDAY 21ST JULY
A nice morning ,we have visitors coming, we will do the paperwork ,tidy the website up, wash the vans and do a tidy up around the place.

TODAY WE HAVE FOUR RUNNER AT THE VALLEY DUBAI KID. AT TOWCESTER TIFFIELD TARQUIN AND SWIFT JARVIS AND AT CRAYFORD SWIFT QUINCEY. A GOOD DAY YESTERDAY ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE WRIGHTY IN THE PALL MALL FINAL AT OXFORD AFTER WINNING HIS SEMI FINAL AND CLONA URIEL IN THE FINAL OF THE SUSSEX CUP AT HOVE ATFER WINNING HIS SEMI FINAL.
