MONDAY THE 12TH OF AUGUST
The weather was good today and the first job of today was to collect paper , we had paperwork to prepare for hounds that we’re sold going to the UK the sales department has been busy so thanks to everybody that bought a hound . At the kennels we had baby pups to worm and we also trimmed their nails. On this weeks greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on the list Charlie knows at Yarmouth.

TUESDAY THE 13TH OF AUGUST
I did the weekly trip to the vets and I also took a brood to Richard Cuddy stud, at the kennels we have prepared hounds for schooling which took all the day we did maintenance work we also got a delivery of dog bag food the weather was good and the day went well.

WEDNESDAY THE 14TH OF AUGUST
Another nice day we need all the waste away, all the paperwork posted off , we have pups to inject for parvovirus , we also have a swap around to do with pups ,saplings and kennel dogs we are going to make boxes and beds for mothers to have her pups in and we have a major water leak so I need that repaired.
THURSDAY THE 15TH OF AUGUST
We had rain all morning but thankfully it was nice and dry for the main job of today trialing in Kilkenny. The first job of today was to collect meat , we had to be fed up early and we fixed the fences in the garden paddocks and the second van went to collect cooked bones so we are fully stocked again so all hounds have a treat tonight a cooked bone.

FRIDAY THE 16TH OF AUGUST
The weather was good. The best part of the day was taken up preparing more hounds for schooling. I was back at the vets getting a hound checked and he got the all clear. There was passports to prepare at the vets. We needed foods for pups and carpets to make beds for mothers and pups. I have been up half the night as there is a fox with four cubs in the vicinity. Vicki who lives in the house with me can small them and hear them and I’m having to let her out to stop her barking. I’ve told her that if she keeps it up I’ll put her in a kennel.
SATURDAY THE 17TH OF AUGUST
Its a big day today, the start of the Premier League season. Newcastle United should get off to a winning start. At 3pm whatever happens I’ll be watching that. We have been for meat again as our suppliers are still rationing. Meat has never been as short in Southern Ireland. thankfully were getting enough. At the kennels were making boxes and beds and doing a major tidy. The sales department has had a busy week so thanks to everybody who bought a hound. We had a brood who had pups overnight. Mother and pups are doing fantastic. We also have another brood to pup.

SUNDAY THE 18TH OF AUGUST
A big win for Newcastle on Saturday we had ten men for the best part of the game it wasn’t pretty but a win is a win we did the paper work , collected food for pups , Ross Myles got all the hounds that we’re sold delivered to the UK and we started a major swap around with mother and pups into the rearing paddocks pups out of the rearing paddock into the garden paddocks and hounds kenneled up for the first time .
