WEEK STARTING MONDAY 8TH OF JULY

MONDAY THE 8TH OF JULY

We are not trialing in Shelbourne park today, we have trials booked for Thursday 11th of July at Kilkenny. We are taking 24 hounds. We started worming every hound in the place. We will also trim all their nails as well along with giving them a bravecto tablet. The weather was good. We got all the paperwork posted off and the day went well. There was no open racing last night in the UK but Swift Depot did fastest time of the year bat Yarmouth.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS YESTERDAY AT THE VALLEY DUBAI KID AND AT CRAYFORD SWIFT SAPID.

TUESDAY THE 9TH OF JULY

We have hounds that are sold to go to the UK so we will have to get the paperwork organized. We had heavy rain overnight. As we do the journal at 10 am it’s raining again so there will no outside work today. We have broods in season so stud dogs will have to be picked and we have bagged dog food on the way so that will have to be packed away.

WEDNESDAY THE 10TH OF JULY

A wet morning but hopefully it will dry up we will continue on worming hounds and trimming their nails, we need food for pups from the supermarket and bits and pieces from the vets we also need all our waste away and we will hunt pups.

THURSDAY THE 11TH OF JULY

A busy morning. I have already been for meat and we had to have all hounds fed before 12 o’clock as we are leaving for trials at Kilkenny at 12:15 which is the main job of today and England were fantastic last night in the soccer.

FRIDAY 12TH JULY:

Friday was a very busy day. We cut the grass in the rearing paddocks and we changed the beds in the houses of the rearing paddocks. We finished off the nail trimming, worming and flea prevention. We also needed meat. I was also at the vets getting tonsils out of four hounds. On a sad note Swift Hazel who has produced category one winners is anything but well.

ON THE WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT ROMFORD: FAB ROY AND SWIFT IAN.

SATURDAY 13TH JULY:

We collected more meat as all of our supplier have us on rationing. We also collected chicken and tripe. The broods were collected from Droopys Stud after their mating. The hounds that got their tonsils out also had to be collected. We had John O’Reilly here checking all the hounds that are schooling. We tidied the garage up. We have also tidied up the website.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SEVEN RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT PERRY BARR: SWIFT BATTERY, SWIFT UNDERWATER AND RANCHES REBEL. AT HOVE: CLONA URIEL. AT OXFORD: SWIFT MAXWELL, UNANIMOUS LEON AND WRIGHTY.
