I didn’t get word till early Tuesday morning that the 191 van goes for test today at 3 o’clock and I had to get the mechanic to check it over. We needed supplies, our Red Mills order arrived so it had to be packed away. We also needed fish but the weather was to bad to go to Killybegs and we also did a tidy up.

The plans today is collect supplies I have to go to Ross Myles to organize the hounds that are sold to get them delivered to the UK the sales department  has been busy a big thanks to everyone who bought a hound. We have paper work to do and owing to the weather we will just get everyday jobs done of feeding, cooking, cleaning and letting hounds out of kennels.

Saturday 13th February:

The coldest day of the winter. We have had a small bit of snow and the wind chill makes it feel like the Arctic. I went for fish late yesterday so were packing that away this morning. There will be very little work we can do today other than get rid of our waste and get food for pups. We have done quite a bit of maintenance work this week and we have more to do this coming week. The weather is to get better from tomorrow which will help with all the work this coming week. We have paperwork to do today and the main job will be keeping all hounds warm and not leaving them out too long.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT COPE AT ROMFORD. TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS; SWIFT LOKI, SWIFT JAGUR, AND NORMANSLAND FLYER AT CRAYFORD AND ZOOM ANGEL AT MONMORE.

Sunday 14th February:

Its a lot milder today but were still getting wind and rain which makes the job harder. Yesterday was the coldest day with the wind chill factor that I can remember. It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. Ross Myles delivered another two hounds to the UK. He left here at 6pm last night, had one at Durham services at 5am this morning and with his second van he had the other hounds at Normans Cross at 6am. Both got off as fresh as paint. We have broods getting mated this week and we also have broods due to have pups.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT NORMANSLANDS FLYER AT CRAYFORD.
