We will not be able to hunt and gallop and the main job will be give all the hounds plenty of fresh water, we need food for pups a a whole load of bits and pieces and we also need all our waste away.
Friday 12th August:
Another hot day and as we do the journal at 9.30 am we have three quarters of the hounds fed, we are cutting the grass in the rearing paddocks and we had a load of rubbish for the dump, we are finally going to get the vat to the accountant and the main job of today will be traying to get hounds cool.
Saturday 13th August:
Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning. It was red hot again yesterday. We needed meat and I had to rush to the vets with a dog. At the kennels it was another day where we kept changing water and constantly checked hounds with the heat. I put my feet up at 2pm yesterday afternoon and I watched the Newcastle v Brighton game. We were lucky and we have gotten off to a brilliant start this season. If we can buy another couple of players we will have a real good team. Its no good buying players who are no better than the players we already have which we have done in the past. We have a good team and for the first time in years we wont have relegation worries.
Sunday 14th August:
Its not to be as hot today. I forgot to mention in yesterdays journal we have gotten the first part of the hedge cutting and the first part of the tidying up finished as well. We will probably do a bit more hedge cutting today and a bit more tidying up. We need to update the RCETS (greyhound tracing system) updated. We have over 70 July and August 2021 hounds to add to the dogs for sale page. We also have our weekly paperwork to catch up on.
