WEEK STARTING MONDAY 3RD OF MAY

Monday 3rd May:

Were doing Mondays journal on Sunday afternoon as its a bank holiday. It will be more or less like a Sunday workwise. We will do the last bits of paperwork and the last bit of tidying. I’ll give the van a wash and prepare for a busy week. I’ll do another add on to the journal tomorrow morning.

update Monday morning at 8 am. Its raining and it looks like it is here for the day, we will tidy up the freezer and the paper plus get food for pups from the supermarket.

On the the greyhound star performance of the week we have one hound Normansland Flyer at central park.

ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT CENTRAL PARK NORMANSLAND FLYER IN THE SEMI FINAL OF THE GRAND NATIONAL.

Tueasday 4th May:

I get my covid injection at 10 am today, we need supplies of food and all our waste away to the dump. We are finishing the journal off yesterday just before we go for trials, we had a brood have 8 pups to good news 7 dogs and I have no after affects after my covid injection.

On the open race scene in the UK we have one runner tonight at Towcester Swift Cope.

Wednesday 5th May:

A nice day but a bit colder and the main job is trialling and handsliping in Shelbourne Park. The morning is gone well and I have planed the busy weekend out.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER SWIFT COPE AT TOWCESTER HE WON IN THE FASTEST TIME OF THE YEAR.

TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT NEWCASTLE TRANWEL STALLION AND POTENT TOUCH.

Thursday 6th May:

A nice day but again at 6am when we started it was frosty. Trials went brilliant yesterday in Shelbourne Park and the plans today we need supplies along with fish a days job, we have a load of pups to inject which will take all day and we will also hunt pups.

Friday 7th May:

Another very cold morning and when we started it was -3 degrees, as normal is loads of supplies to collect like red lights, food for pups, sawdust. At the kennels we will get checked all the hounds that are schooling and probably hunt and gallop.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT ROMFORD RAIL MACCOY AND MASSIVE EGO.

Saturday 8th May:

We have had heavy rain overnight like never before. The rearing paddocks are now perfect along with the gallop after all the rain so no problem hunting and galloping at the moment which will be the main job of the day. Whatever happens we will do the Vat today and do a heap of paperwork which is my weak spot. All the good news Newcastle United are safe after their incredible win against Leicester. It now means Fulham would have to win all their games and Newcastle would have to not get another point to get relegated which is now almost impossible. I got my Covid injection on Tuesday and I have never put three days in like it since Wednesday. I have had flu like symptoms, blocked nose, aches and pains and nightmares. Its been a busy few days but thankfully I got it all done and got a good sleep last night. The blocked nose is gone along with the aches and pains. We need supplies today so hopefully it all goes well.

Sunday 9th May:

Its another wet morning and the forecast is for more rain. It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. We got all the paperwork done yesterday. We will probably give the vans a wash and give the place a bit of a tidy as well.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT CENTRAL PARK CYNTHIAS GIFT AND NORMANSLAND FLYER IN THE GRAND NATIONAL FINAL.
