Monday 25th October:
We are doing Mondays journal on Tuesday afternoon as Monday was a bank holiday in Southern Ireland. The day was more or less like a Sunday and we prepared Tuesdays work and I left at lunch time to stay over night in the Killybegs to come back early this morning with fish.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHILL HOLLY.
Tuesday 26th October:
It’s been a dry day and I’m back with the fish and it’s now packed away in to the freezer. We are leveling the garden paddocks out and the job is going well, we are finally got the last mother and pups, pups and kennel dogs swap around we also hunted pups and we have maintenance work to do. We went to the dump we got food for pups from supermarket and the day has gone well. On the Greyhound Star British Performance of the week we have one hound on it Swift Cope at Yarmouth.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER LAST NIGHT CHURCHILL HOLLY.
Wednesday 27th October:
A overcast day but no rain up to now the main job of today is trialing in Shelbourne Park we will continue on with leveling the garden paddocks there is bit maintenance work to do and there is a busy week ahead of us. The work load is a lot of easier since we did the big swap around with mother and pups, pups and kennel dogs.
Thursday 28th October:
It has been a wet day and been a busy day collecting supplies. The main job at the kennels has been worming pups and doing a massive tidy up, we are just about to finish leveling garden paddocks out but couldn’t get the last bit done owing to the weather.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS AT PERRY BARR SWIFT BEDLAM AND SWIFT SINFUL.
Friday 29th October:
It’s a wet morning, we need all our waste away, food for pups and we also need paper bedding. At the kennels it will be a day for feeding, cleaning kennels and tidying up. The dogs that are schooling are going to checked by John O’Reilly and we will probably hunt a few pups.

Saturday 30th October:
Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday morning as Saturday was a busy day. We needed supplies and on Monday morning were going to have loads of supplies to order such as Gain dog food, Red Mills, pasta, calcium, cereal and paper bedding. Getting transport back from the UK is now nearly impossible but we’ll manage. Newcastle United have the fight of their life after getting beaten by Chelsea yesterday. We’ve got to get to January to get new players and we need more points or were going to be relegated. The sales department has been busy and a big thank you to everybody who bought a hound.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT ADDITION AT ROMFORD. TONIGHT WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS. AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT HONEST, SWIFT LOKI AND SWIFT JAGUAR. AT SHEFFIELD GEELO CONEY, SWIFT CONQUEST AND POTENT TOUCH.
Sunday 31 October:
We had heavy rain overnight along with strong winds but thankfully there’s no damage. Padgie my head lad is off today as his son is 11 and hes taking him for a surprise birthday treat. At the kennels were going to cook, clean, feed and let hounds out of kennels. That will be as much as we can do today. Thankfully as we do the journal its turning into a lovely morning.
