MONDAY THE 26TH OF JUNE:
The day got off to a bad start as I had to rush a brood to the vets. We needed food for pups, and we also had visitors, we had maintenance work to do, and we had to be feed up early as we had to go trailing at Shelbourne Park. the traffic was good in Dublin today. On this week’s greyhound star British performance of the week, we have one hound on the list Swift Loves at Yarmouth

TUESDAY THE 27TH OF JUNE
The weather has been good all day, the first job to day was to meet ross Myles who is taking hounds that are sold to the UK. we did maintenance work on the rearing paddocks and the garden paddocks. we also made boxes and beds for broods to have their pups in and kennel up a load of saplings that are 13 month old.

WEDNESDAY THE 28TH OF JUNE
First the good new the brood that was at the vets is home and is in good form. We needed meat so that had to be collected today, we also had 40 pups to give a nine and one injection. We also continue on kennelling up saplings.

THURSDAY THE 29TH OF JUNE
It was a long day as I had to go for fish to Killybegs a 10 hour round trip. At the kennels we prepared hounds for schooling which took all day. we also had a drain to repair plus there was beds to change in all the kennels and we had three groups of visitors and the day went well.

FRIDAY THE 30TH OF JUNE
We had hounds getting checked that are schooling all went well . We also need food for pups, the fish was to packed away and we made boxes and beds for mothers to have their pups in.

SATURDAY THE 1ST OF JULY
Were doing Saturdays journal on Sunday afternoon. We needed meat which had to be packed away as soon as it arrived owing to the heat. At the kennels we prepared more hounds for schooling, we had broods having pups. Thankfully all went well. As we do the journal at 2pm another brood has just had 9 pups so our last three litters all had 9 each. We also had visitors

SUNDAY THE 2ND OF JULY
Its a typical Sunday where we cook, clean and feed. Padgie was off today which was well deserved. We have another brood having pups. All is going well. A major problem in Southern Ireland at the minute is getting a vet out of hours. Thankfully we haven’t needed a vet out of hours in a long time. If I did and I couldn’t get O’Connors in Cashel, I’m not sure what I would do. Were loading the rubbish to have it ready for the morning as we have two vans for Shelbourne. Were caught up with all the paperwork. When I finish the journal I’ll have to get dressed up as I’ve been invited out for lunch.
