Saturday 27th November:
Its a cold morning and the weeks work has gone well. Everything I had planned to get done has been done and I got the dogs checked that are trialing at Shelbourne checked last night. As we do the journal at 7am we emptied all the fish out of the van. The plan for today is we need more supplies, the garage tidied up, the sand runs leveled out, the last of the beds changed in the garden paddock and rearing paddock. All going well we will also gallop a few hounds. The repair work is nearly finished and the next job on the list is repairing the fences in the rearing paddock. A big win for Newcastle United last night which was needed after the bad run we’ve had. Big Joe had his best game for Newcastle. To be fair to Steve Bruce he’s doing as well as any manager we’ve had since Bobby Robson.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD: SWIFT TARQUIN. WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT HOVE TONIGHT BRITANNIA WILL.
Sunday 28th November:
Its a nice dry morning and a typical Sunday at the kennels where we cook, clean, feed and let dogs out. We might hunt a few pups or possibly gallop a few dogs. We will wash the vans, get up to date with a load of small jobs and prepare for another busy week. I got the place tidied up yesterday. The main jobs for the coming week: cutting all dogs nails, leveling the sand and tidying the garden runs, changing the last few beds in the rearing paddocks.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT: IN THE OAKS AT SWINDON FANTASTICAL AND CHURCHILL HOLLY. IN THE FINAL OF THE KENT DERBY AT CENTRAL PARK WE HAVE SWIFT LETTUCE.
