Monday 21th June:
A lot cooler but still a nice day and the longest day of the year. The main job of today is schooling in Shelbourne Park, we will get all the paper work that we did at the weekend posted off and we have supplies to order and we will do a tidy up.
Tuesday 22th June:
It’s been a overcast day but no rain. We had Brendon Rogers taking photographs of our hounds going to the retirement homes, we have also been putting photographs on our website (dog for sale page) of some of our June 2020 saplings and we also had hounds collected that was sold in Ireland. Every morning when I get up at 5.30 am I read the greyhound star website and I was shocked when I saw Anna Thompson had quit training greyhounds we wish her the very best of luck in the future.
Wednesday 23th June:
We are doing the website at 2pm on Wednesday afternoon as it’s been a busy morning, our pasta finally arrived from the UK. We needed supplies as normal and I also had to go to the vets in Cashel to get our retire hounds ready for their retirement homes so once I gat the website done I have to go back to get them. It’s rain all day so there was no galloping or hunting so we tidy up the garages ready for the Gain dog food coming and we also did some paper work.
Thursday 24th June:
A nice morning and plenty to do today, we have started packing the pasta away that came yesterday, we need our waste away, food for pups from the supermarket we have John Nolan coming to earmark pups and we will gallop if the day goes well and it’s not to hot. I will get my second Covid vaccination next Friday.
Friday 25th June:
A overcast morning and plenty to do, we need fish a days job for one person, we have Gain dog food coming so that will have to be packed away. We will gallop and hunt, tidy up and do the everyday jobs of cooking, feeding, cleaning kennels and puppy sheds, cleaning yards and letting dogs out seven times a day that are in the kennels.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER SWIFT CANARY AT NOTTINGHAM.
Saturday 26th June:
Were doing Saturdays journal on Saturday afternoon as it has been a busy morning. We had supplies to collect, we galloped, we had broods to take to get mated and Swift Zana had her pups to Droopys Sydney with five dogs and five bitches in the litter. We needed carpets to make beds for mothers and pups and once I get the journal done I will have to collect food for pups from the supermarket.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT CANARY. TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT JAGUAR, SWIFT LOKI AND NORMANSLAND FLYER. AT TOWCESTER: SWIFT COPE.
Sunday 27th June:
Its an overcast morning but I dont think we will get rain. It will be a typical Sunday where we cook, feed, clean and let dogs out of kennels. We might also do a bit of gardening. The new pups are doing fantastic along with their mother. We will do a bit of work on the website, a small bit of paperwork and prepare for a busy week.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD NO WINNERS BUT SWIFT COPE QUALIFIED FOR THE NEXT ROUND OF THE DERBY PLATE.
