MONDAY THE 18TH OF SEPTEMBER
It’s been a mixed day of weather, but you can feel winter on its way. Like all Mondays now we have to be fed and kennels all done for 12 o’clock because the main job of the day is trailing in Shelbourne Park. The traffic was good going up and back from Dublin the only thing we needed today was food for pups and a trip to the hardware and the day has gone well.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAVE 2 RUNNERS TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM DUBAI KID AND AUSSIE MCCOY
TUESDAY 19TH OF SEPTEMBER
We are doing Tuesdays journal on Thursday afternoon. The first job of the day was meat to collect. At the kennels we change all the bed in all the kennels plus we hunted pups.
WEDNESDAY 20TH OF SEPTEMBER
On Wednesday we needed more meat, food for pups from the supermarket, dried meat for Northern Ireland plus our weekly trip to the vets. At the kennels we prepared hounds for schooling.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD SEVEN RUNNERS AT YARMOUTH SWIFT LOVES, WRIGHTY, BROWN EYED BOY, MERLINS MATE, SWIFT ICONIC, SUPA NOVA AND SWIFT UNKIND.
THURSDAY 21ST OF SEPTEMBER
A nice day we been to the vets to get passports update for hounds that are sold ready to travel to the UK. All the wasted had to go to the dump. At the kennels we hunted pups and gallop which took all day.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT YARMOUTH MERLINS MATE AND SWIFT ICONIC AND SUPA NOVA WAS SECOND AND THIRD IN THE YARMOUTH DERBY. TONIGHT WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT SUFFUCK DOWNS BLUE TICK QUEEN. AT SWINDON SWIFT QUARANTINE. AT HOVE CLONA URIEL.
Friday 22nd September:
The weather was good again. It was a day for giving pups their injections, worming, doing maintenance work, a tidy up and a bit of galloping. We had to meet Darren Ryan who works for Ross Myles as he was taking dogs that are sold to the UK. He met me at 5:30pm Friday evening and had the first hound delivered to Newcastle at 5:30am on Saturday morning. The last one was off at 9pm on Saturday at Nottingham. We still haven’t got the parts for the 2020 van but thankfully we can still drive it. The 2020 van also passed the DOE test on Friday.

Saturday 23rd September:
We galloped and had John O’Reilly here checking hounds. We have more pups to inject and we had hounds to worm and give a Brovecto to. It was a busy day and all went well.

Sunday 24th September:
Its a typical Sunday where we cook, clean and feed, tidy the website, do the paperwork, make all the lists for the coming week. My head lad Padgie has a well deserved day off today. Whatever happens I will be watching Newcastle play today. Whatever happens we must get 3 points.
