Monday 18th July:
The hottest day of the heat wave so far is today, we had everything fed by 9 o’clock and we started today at day light as we do the journal at 12 o’clock all hounds are resting and have loads of fresh water. We needed food for pups and we also need a mountain of supplies which I have all ordered if we get the day over the forecast is for better weather (not as hot) no trials this week at Shelbourne Park.
Tuesday 19th July:
We are doing Tuesday journal in the afternoon it’s still very hot but not as hot as was on Monday the forecast is for it to get cooler. We had delivery from Red Mills and we also had a delivery of sawdust, I have been to collect meat and we also had passport to collect from O’Connor vet as the movement of dogs to the UK will start again on Thursday with Michael Flynn for us.
Wednesday 20th July:
No where near as hot as it has been and we might even get rain. The main job at the kennels is galloping hounds which will take all day, we have hounds that are sold to deliver and as normal we need bits and pieces of supplies.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT HARLOW SWIFT UNO, SWIFT KETTLE AND SWIFT ILLICIT
Thursday 21th July:
We are doing Thursdays journal on Friday morning as yesterday was a busy day and a sad day as we had to put Swift Palmer to sleep as she had bone cancer, we had hounds to get their tonsils out also at the vet, we needed supplies, we did a tidy up, we needed all our waste away and we galloped few hounds.
Friday 22th July:
A nice day and probably getting to hot again, we are leveling the sand runs, we need supplies and we are doing a massive swap around with pups, saplings and kennel dogs which will take all day.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT ROMFORD RAIL MCCOY
Saturday 23rd July:
We have had rain overnight and I think we will get more today which wont do any harm. We need meat which is almost impossible to get, food for pups, special milk for pups and whatever happens I will have to get shopping for myself today. Owing to the weather we wont be cutting the hedges or level the sand runs. With a bit of luck we will get the last of the swapping around done with pups and hounds. We need to do the VAT, tidy the website and we have a load of paperwork to do.

Sunday 24th July:
We are doing Sunday journal on Monday morning as it was non stop yesterday, we got rain for the whole day and we finally finished swap around with pups, saplings and mother and pups at the kennels and other then that was typical Sunday that we fed, clean kennels, cook and let hounds out that are in the kennels.
