MONDAY THE 15TH OF APRIL
A wet and windy day and when we get the journal done at 9.30 pm at night the day is over as it has been a very long one we got a delivery of paper bedding to keep us going until we get a lorry load. As normal on a Monday all hounds had to be fed for lunchtime so we could head to Shelbourne park for the main job of today their we’re short staff today so we didn’t start trailing until 3 o’clock the traffic was bad coming home as we we’re late getting back on to the road thankfully we only had 14 hounds for trails or the day would never be finished.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNER YESTERDAY AT CRAYFORD SWIFT QUINCEY AND AT TOWCESTER UNANIMOUS LEON TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE RUNNER AT NOTTINGHAM SWIFT BACHELOR.
Tuesday 16th April:
Were doing Tuesday to Sundays journals on Sunday morning. Its been a busy week but it went well. On Tuesday I did the weekly trip to the vets. We had John Nolan here earmarking pups and marking up hounds into their identity cards. Ross Myles and Michael Flynn took hounds that are sold to the UK to their new owners. The weather was good and the day went well.
Wednesday 17th April:
The weather was good again. I day tripped to the UK to collect paper bedding to tide us over until the artic comes next week. At the kennels we leveled out the sand runs, changed beds in all the kennels. The day went well.
Thursday 18th April:
We continued on leveling the sand runs. We did maintenance work. We had three broods in season that went to Droopys stud to be mated. We also had to go to Red Mills to collect racer as we were totally out.
Friday 19th April:
We needed meat. We got the sand runs finished in the garden paddocks. More hounds that are sold left for the UK with Ross Myles. We started a major swap around with pups and saplings and kennel dogs.

Saturday 20th April:
We needed more meat on Saturday. We got all our waste away, collected food for pups, John O’Reilly was here checking hounds that are schooling. We continued on with the major swap around of pups, sapling and kennel dogs.

Sunday 21st April:
Its another lovely day and a typical Sunday where we tidy the website, do the paperwork, make all the lists for the coming week. We will continue on with the swap around.
