MONDAY THE 6TH OF MARCH
Monday is the busiest day of the week now I was at the vets getting passports updated at 9am, time the lads are feeding up all the hounds and getting ready to go to Shelbourne. The traffic was good going up and coming back and I couldn’t believe it I went up in 56 minutes to Shelbourne. In this week’s Greyhound star British performance of the week, we have two hounds on this week’s list Swift Prank at Perry bar and Swift Loves at Yarmouth.
TUESDAY THE 7TH OF MARCH
Its been a nice dry day but a lot colder we needed meat, all our waste away. At the kennels we got a delivery of dog food, and we started hounds checked that are schooling we did work on the gallop, and we got ready to do a swap around with hounds tomorrow.

WEDNESDAY THE 8TH OF MARCH
Where doing Wednesdays journal on Thursday evening we had to meet Ross Myles and Micheal Flynn for hounds that where sold going UK. we needed food for pups we also got the vans washed and tidied up at the kennels it was a day for maintenance work taking photos of hounds to put on the greyhound data doing a tidy up around the yard.

THURSDAY THE 9TH OF MARCH
It rained the whole day and the weather was as bad as any day we’ve had in Ireland I’ve been to Droopys stud to collect brood bitches that have been mated. At the kennels we did a major swap around with mother and pups saplings and kennel dogs which took all day.
Friday 10th March:
Were doing Fridays journal on Sunday morning. Friday was another wet day. We got food for pups. We had John O’Reilly check all the hounds that are schooling. We continued on doing the major swap around with hounds, mothers and pups.

Saturday 11th March:
Saturday was a busy day. We needed meat, all our waste had to be taken to the dump and we had to do a major tidy up after the bad weather. We have more broods in season so we will have to pick out stud dogs.

Sunday 12th March:
The rain has finally stopped and the day doesnt look too bad. Were going to finish the swap arounds with hounds, saplings, mothers and pups. We’ll tidy the website up, do all the paperwork, make all the lists and prepare for a busy week. Newcastle United must get back to winning ways today. I’ll watch the game this afternoon. Hounds that are getting ready to go on to the open race scene: Swift Silly won an A1 at Newcastle. Swift Battery has now won 2 from 3 at Monmore. Swift John did 28.96 in his last qualifying trial at Newcastle.
