MONDAY THE 20TH OF FEBRUARY
Mondays are now a long day Shelbourne was very busy today and thankfully the traffic was good going home from Dublin this morning. I was in the vets at Cashel getting passport completed for the hounds that are sold going to the UK. We needed bits and pieces which I collected on the way home from Cashel the day went well and the weather was also good on the greyhound star British performance of the week we have one hound on this week’s list Blue tick queen at Kinsley her time was five spots short of fastest time of the year
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK, WE HAVE ONE RUNNER TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM CHURCHHILL BLAZE
TUESDAY 21ST FEBRUARY:
We are doing Tuesdays journal on Wednesday morning. The weather was good and the day went well, we needed meat and at the kennels we did more work with hounds to get them ready for schooling plus we did a small tidy up.
WEDNESDAY 22ND FEBRUARY:
Another nice day but a bit cooler, we need food for pups, cooked bones to collect, parts for the 191 van and all our waste away. We have broods in season to go to the Droopy’s stud and at the kennels we going to level the sand runs and do a tidy up, we also changing all the beds in all the kennels and houses.
Thursday 23rd February:
Were doing Thursdays journal on Sunday morning as I was in the UK collecting cereal. The day went well and there was no problems with traffic. At the kennels the whole day was spent preparing hounds for schooling.
Friday 24th February:
We prepared more hounds for schooling on Friday morning. John O’Reilly came to check everything that’s schooling. The 2019 van is just about fixed and back on the road. We changed beds and did a small swap around with pups and hounds from runs to kennels.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SEVEN RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT ROMFORD FLIDERS MCCOY AND SUPA NOVA. AT OXFORD CALICO BRIN, DETROIT MICKIE, MOHICAN ROSE, MOHICAN TARA AND MOHICAN FLORENCE.
Saturday 25th February:
We got supplies from the UK which took all day to empty and pack away. The weather was good thankfully and the day went well. We fed all the hounds early and we did a bit of a tidy up.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT CRAYFORD SWIFT BAWDY. AT MONMORE YOU TWO, HITTHELIDS MYLE, MUXTON LOTTIE, MERLINS MATE AND CLONA URIEL.
Sunday 26th February:
Its a massive day for Newcastle United in the Caribou Cup Final. Lets hope we get a massive win against Man Utd. I’ve been to Wembley three times to watch Newcastle play and we never won. I’ll watch it on the TV at home today. We got the 2019 van back this morning and its running perfect which you would expect with a brand new engine, new injectors, turbo, water pump, clutch and a load of other brand new parts. At the kennels it will be a typical Sunday where we tidy the website, do paperwork, make all lists for the coming week, collect food for pups and wash the vans.
