MONDAY THE 6TH OF JANUARY
We were snowed in last night , the vans were stuck on the lane a 100m from the gates at my house , thankfully its now 6 degrees as we do the journal at 3 o clock so a good bit of the snow and ice are gone we can now go on the lane to the yard and kennels with the vans , all the taps outside were frozen so all the water had to be carried from my house . All hounds are fed and kennels cleaned with a nice worm bed .
TUESDAY THE 7TH OF JANUARY
The plans for Tuesday are , We need all our waste away which will be the first job of the day . We changed some of the beds in the kennels and yards on Monday and we will do the rest today . We need a few bits and pieces and i will collect them . I need tires for the 191 van so we will get them fitted at car max . We have more broods coming back from droopys stud and hopefully the roads are good everywhere.
WEDNESDAY THE 8TH OF JANUARY
What a win from Newcastle united last night against Arsenal . The coldest day was today of my 30 years in Ireland . The only work we could do was clean kennels , keep dogs warm and give them plenty of food as it was between -5 and -3 all day and it was another day where all the water we needed had to be carried from my house as all pipes and taps outside were frozen.
THURDAYS THE 9TH OF JANUARY
Another very cold day and it was down to -7 during the night , everything was the same work wise as the whole week cleaning kennels , feeding and having to carry water from my house as all the taps are still frozen outside . I went to the Northern Ireland to collect meat , chicken and tripe .
FRIDAY THE 1OTH OF JANUARY
As we do the journal at 3pm in the afternoon the frost is starting to go thank goodness . It was a very cold morning and it was -2 when we started at 6am . I went for more meat so we are fully stocked and we are going to wash the vans hover them out , fill the windscreen washes up and put diesel in them .

SATURDAY THE 11TH OF JANUARY
The frost and snow is finally starting to go as there is a big thaw on. We have the electrician here and we will probably also need the plumber. Were changing beds in all the kennels and were going to do paperwork, tidy the website and order everything we need.

SUNDAY THE 12TH OF JANUARY
Newcastle united are through to the fourth round of the FA cup . The second bit of good news the snow is just about away . We did more tidying up today . We did a swap around with broods that are due to pup plus a bit of maintenance work and we prepared for a busy week
