WEEK STARTING MONDAY THE 16TH OF SEPTEMBER

Monday 16th September:

The first job on Monday was to get the 202 van tested and I went to collect fish. We needed food for pups. At the kennels we did a tidy up, prepared more hounds for schooling which took all day. Newcastle won again coming from behind on Sunday.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM: SWIFT REGINA AND INCA GERRY.

Tuesday 17th September:

We had hounds that are sold leave with Ross Myles for the UK. Again, he collected them from the yard which makes the job easy. Broods had pups, mothers and pups are doing fantastic. We also had John Nolan here earmarking pups. We got the vans washed and we also had visitors.

Wednesday 18th September:

The whole day was taken up preparing hounds for schooling. We needed meat, tripe and chicken. We got a delivery of bagged dog food. We did maintenance work. The weather has been good all week but its getting colder.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT AT YARMOUTH: WRIGHTY, YOU TWO, TOO WRIGHT, MERLINS MATE, SWIFT DEPOT AND SWIFT BANKRUPT.

Thursday 19th September:

It was another day spent preparing hounds for schooling. We did the weekly run to the vets. There was supplies to pack away. We did a swap around with pups, saplings and kennel dogs. We gave pups their first and second injections.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT YARMOUTH: WRIGHTY AND MERLINS MATE. TONIGHT WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT HOVE: BURROWS TIGER, CLONA URIEL AND SWIFT JARVIS.

Friday 20th September:

We needed more food for pups from the supermarket. We were back at the vets with a brood that had to have a c-section. Thankfully everything went well. Mother and pups are doing fantastic. We got the tidy up finished and we got more maintenance work done.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT HOVE: BURROWS TIGER. TONIGHT WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT ROMFORD SWIFT UNITED, SWIFT UNDERWATER AND SWIFT GIDDY.

Saturday 21st September:

We have updated the journal for the whole week today as we have had issues with the website. We have John O’Reilly here checking hounds that are schooling. We have to meet Ross Myles tonight as he’s taking more hounds to the UK that are sold. We need more food for pups. We have meat to collect. The most important job of the day is watching Newcastle United against Fulham. Hopefully another victory is on the horizon. A lady well worth a mention is Phoenix Posh ( previous name swift posh ) who won at Shelbourne Park last night in 28.26 F.T.O.N.

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT AT OXFORD: SWIFT FRANCESCA AND SWIFT TANIA. AT DONCASTER SWIFT JEROMO.

Sunday 22nd September:

We have visitors here. It will be a typical Sunday where we do the paperwork and finish off tidying the website. We have a brood to take to Richard Cuddys  that is in season. We will also give the vans a good wash and clean, check the oil and water in preparation for another busy week. We also have a brood due to have pups so we will be monitoring her. On a day when victory would have put them on top of the Premier League table at least fleetingly, Newcastle instead dropped from third to sixth as their unbeaten start to the season finally came to an end.

 

ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER AT OXFORD LAST NIGHT SWIFT TANIA . WE HAVE EIGHT RUNNERS TONIGHT. AT CRAYFORD: DUBAI KID, SWIFT QUINCEY AND EARLS RUBY . AT TOWCESTER: SWIFT RALLY AND SWIFT JACK. AT THE VALLEY: SWIFT WAG, SWIFT CURIOUS AND SWIFT TEMPTINGLY. .
