MONDAY THE 2RD OF SEPTEMBER
We have a artic load of paper bedding here so it has to be packed away as normal we need bits and pieces of supplies , Ross Myles has just collected the hounds that are sold going to the UK from the yard and we will do a tidy up around the place .Goals from Harvey Barnes and Alexander Isak gave Newcastle a hard-earned three points on Sunday, as they began a season with back to back home PL wins for the first time in almost quarter of a century.
TUESDAY THE 3RD OF SEPTEMBER
The first job on Tuesday was to collect fish from the new supplier in Northern Ireland and the sat nav took me to Carlingford Lough so I had to take a ferry. At the kennels we got load of supplies arrive and we finally got the swapping around done with saplings, kennel dogs and young pups and we also had a brood have her pups.
WEDNESDAY THE 4TH OF SEPTEMBER
The weather has been a lot colder the last day or two, we finally getting all the water leaks fixed. We needed all our waste away at the kennels we got more supplies delivered I also did the weekly trip to the vets.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT YARMOUTH SWIFT DEPOT, WRIGHTY AND YOU TWO.
THURSDAY THE 5TH OF SEPTEMBER
The first job today is collecting food for pups a trip to the cash and carry and we also need a tire for the 191 van, we will have to be fed up for the 12 o’clock as the main job of today is trialing in Kilkenny.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT YARMOUTH SWIFT DEPOT AND ALSO WRIGHTY QUALIFIED FOR THE SEMI FINAL OF THE YARMOUTH DERBY ALONG WITH SWIFT DEPOT . TONIGHT WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT HOVE SWIFT JARVIS, BURROWS TRIGGER AND BURROWS SWIFT
FRIDAY THE 6TH OF SEPTEMBER
In greyhounds you dont know what is going to happen next, just before I was going to set away to collect meat, Pagie ran into my house, he said swift acoustic has hit a post in the letting out run playing with her kennel mate and is paralyzed and I think she has broke her back ,she could not stand up and I rang the vet and I headed off with her praying for a miracle. He told me when I arrived after checking her she will be okay if she has not got a broken back, he x-rayed her and the news was good, no broken back. As we do the journal on Sunday morning, she is home and eaten and just about 100% again, a miracle.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNER LAST NIGHT AT HOVE BURROWS TRIGGER (winning the maiden final ) AND BURROWS SWIFT. TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS AT ROMFORD TOO WRIGHT, SWIFT UBQUITY, SWIFT UNITED AND CHARLIE KNOWS.
SATURDAY THE 7TH OF SEPTEMBER
The weather has been good and we have started a major tidy up, I had meat to collect, we had John O Reilly here checking the hounds that are schooling, we made boxes and beds for mother and pups and we changed all the beds in all the kennels.

SUNDAY THE 8TH OF SEPTEMBER
We are tidying the freezer up, giving the garages a tidy up and continuing on doing the major tidy up around the yard. We have hounds that are sold and going to the UK with Darren Ryan so we will be able to do another swap around with the hounds as we have spare kennels. We will do the paperwork and plan another busy week ahead of us.
