MONDAY THE 27TH OF MAY
The weather has been good today and it was a perfect day for trailing and handslipping in Shelbourne park which was the main job of today I posted all the paper work off I ordered everything we needed so we will be fully stocked in the next day or two again as normal on a Monday we had to be fed up early the traffic was good going to Dublin and coming home. Richard Cuddy collected our brood bitch that is in season she going to be mated by king Elves or Hawkfield Ozark .

Tuesday 28th May:
Were doing Tuesday-Saturdays journals on Saturday morning as its been a busy week. On Tuesday I went for meat which is now becoming impossible to get. We hunted, galloped and prepared more hounds for schooling. The weather was good and the day went well.
Wednesday 29th May:
We got all our waste away. We changed beds. We did a swap around. We were cutting nails and worming hounds. We needed food for pups. The day went well.
Thursday 30th May:
I did our weekly trip to the vets. We also needed fish which I collected myself. Its some journey to Killybegs and back. At the kennels we continued on with the swapping around of hounds from paddocks to runs and from runs to kennels. We had a load of carpets to make as we had a load of broods due to pup. We tidied the vans up and washed them.

Friday 31st May:
I went to the north to collect meat from a factory. I got lost on the way there and also got lost on the way home. The quality of the meat was like I’ve never seen before. Half the world is starving and we are feeding human consumption beef, tripe, chicken and fish.

Saturday 1st June:
We have named all the hounds up to August 2023. We have updated the trace system and after we get the website done we will give it a tidy up. I have been to the vets with Swift Acoustic to have a c-section. She only had one bitch pup. Swift Acoustic and here pup are doing fantastic. I’ll probably keep her for a brood. We have had John O’Reilly to check hounds that are schooling. Were going to give the place a good tidy up.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD: SWIFT RADIANTLY. TONIGHT WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS. AT DONCASTER: SWIFT MAXWELL, BLUEY BOY. AT OXFORD: SWIFT GIDDY.
Sunday 2nd June:
Were doing Sundays journal on Saturday afternoon. I’m going to have a quiet day and just check the paperwork that was done on Saturday and collect food for pups. I will be monitoring Swift Acoustic and her one pup. We took Swift Acoustic for a c-section to O’Connors vets Cashel on Saturday and the service and standard of work there is just incredible. Newcastle United will be very busy in the transfer window. Finally Swift Vicki who lives in the house with me is having to be locked into the yard as there is a fox with cubs in the locality. She is trying to get out day and night to chase them in her old age.
