The weather is good today but the forecast for the week is bad. The first job of the day we had meat to collect as we had none left, as normal on a Monday we had to have all hounds fed by lunchtime. I hope the traffic is good going to Dublin and coming home for our trip to Shelbourne park for trails. On the greyhound star British performance of the week we have two hound on this weeks list Wrighty at Yarmouth and Unanimous Leon at Newcastle we will update the dog for sale page to tonight at around 6pm tonight.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS YESTERDAY AT CRAYFORD SWIFT GIDDY AND SWIFT QUINCEY.
TUESDAY THE 30TH OF APRIL
The first job on Tuesday morning was to get the hounds ready for travelling to the UK that we’re sold going with ross Myles . I did our weekly trip to the vet and at the kennels we did a swap around with hounds and saplings from rearing paddocks to kennels and from the big yard into the rearing paddocks. We also changed all the kennel beds.
WEDNESDAY THE 1ST OF MAY
The first job on Wednesday was to collect more meat at the kennels we galloped and hunted hounds did maintenance work. We have broods in season so we will have to sort out stud dogs for them and we also got a delivery of dog food
THURSDAY THE 2ND OF MAY
The sale department had a busy week so big thanks to everybody that bought a hound we continued on with the big swap around with saplings and pups and kennel dogs we have cut the grass did a tidy up and also did maintenance work.
FRIDAY THE 3RD OF MAY
We leader trained hounds, tidied up everywhere, we got deliveries and we prepared for the bank holiday weekend and a very busy day on Saturday. Darren Ryan collected hounds that are sold going to the UK. He left my yard at 5:30 pm and had the last one dropped off at Durham services at 5:15 am Saturday morning.

SATURDAY THE 4TH OF MAY
We have tidied the website up. We need meat to keep us fully stocked. We need our waste away, food for pups, parts for the 2019 van and we have hounds to deliver that are sold. At the kennels John O’Reilly is coming to check hounds that are schooling. We’re going to gallop so it will be a very busy day. Newcastle United have a big game against Burnley today so lets hope we get three points to keep us on course for Europe.

SUNDAY THE 5TH OF MAY
It will be a typical Sunday at the kennels where we do the paperwork, collect food for pups from the supermarket. We will finish the tidy up and probably worm and cut the nails on the pups. All I can say about the Newcastle game against Burnley is it was absolutely fantastic and had me sitting at the edge of my seat.
