MONDAY 24TH OF APRIL:
The main job of the day was trailing at Shelbourne Park we needed meat first thing in the morning the day didn’t go to plan but these things happen. The weather was okay we have a load of supplies to order and we’ve a load of work to start on my place which will start on Tuesday if the weather is good.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER YESTERDAY YOU TWO IN THE GYMCRACK HEATS AT KINSLEY ALSO IN THE GYMCRACK IANS WORRIOR AND WRIGHTY QUALIFIED FOR THE SEMI FINALS
TUESDAY 25TH OF APRIL
A nice sunny day but we had frost at 6am when we stared today. As normal on a Tuesday we had to go to the vets for the last of the passport work to be done for hounds that are sold to go to the UK. We also levelled the sand runs out got all the waist to the dump and got food for pups. A PUP TO WATCH OUT FOR IS DUBAI KID HAVING HIS FIRST RACE AND WINNING IT LAST NIGHT AT ENNISCORTHY FROM LAST TO FIRST.
WEDNESDAY 26TH OF APRIL
Another nice day, we did a major job on the drains. We prepared more hounds for schooling which took all day and I also had to meet Micheal Flynn who took hounds to the UK to their new owners that are sold.
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE RUNNER AT HARLOW SWIFT ACQUIT.
THURSDAY 27TH OF APRIL
We did the last of the work on the drains so they are now working perfect again. We also got a delivery of bag dog food and there was a trip to the vets for a hound to get a ear operation and the day went well.
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD FIVE RUNNERS AT NEWCASTLE SWIFT SILLY AND SWIFT JOHN. AT SUFFOLK DOWNS SWIFT NEWS, MUXTON LOTTIE AND TIFFIELD TRAJAN.
FRIDAY 28TH OF APRIL
We had john Nolan marking dogs up into their identity books. We needed meat , passports at the vets, more bagged dog food arrived and we also did a tidy up plus we had visitors.
ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT NEWCASTLE SWIFT SILLY AND AT SUFFOLK DOWNS MUXTON LOTTIE.
TO NIGHT WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS AT ROMFORD SUPA NOVA, MISS BIG PANTS, MERLINS MATE AND OLD FORT MONACO AND OXFORD DROHOBYCH LEADER AND SWIFT QUINCEY.
SATURDAY 29TH OF APRIL
A nice day again, the plans today we have paper coming from UK so it will have to be packed away we will also finished the tidy up prepared more hounds for schooling and get all the wasted away to the dump.
ON THE OPEN RACES IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT AT ROMFORD SUPA NOVA WON IN FASTEST TIME OF THE YEAR ALSO AT ROMFORD OLD FORT MONACO WON. TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS AT PERRY BARR SWIFT PRANK, AT CRAYFORD SWIFT BAWDY AND AT HOVE SWIFT UKRAINE AND OLD FORT BEETEE.
Sunday 30th April:
We had heavy rain overnight and as we do the journal at 8am it looks like the rain will be back again. The plans today are to add the photographs of our January and February 2022 hounds to greyhound data. We have paperwork to do, we have to prepare for a busy week. At the kennels it will be a typical Sunday where we cook, clean and feed. My head lad Padgie has the day off as his daughter Maya is 16 today. Whatever happens at 2pm today I will be watching Newcastle United progressing towards qualifying for the Champions League.
