Week starting on 8-Apr-2018

Saturday 14th April:
The weather is to be good today compared to what we have had. I was in Killybegs yesterday and it was never as cold as it was yesterday. It was more like the middle of December than the middle of April. Swift My Mate had to go for a C-section. Mother and pups are doing fantastic. It has been a long week and it was 9pm last night by the time I got back with the fish. We got the sawdust put on to the gallop.
The plan for today: I have to be at the accountant at 10am as we are behind with the VAT. The endless job of collecting supplies continues today. Were going to start bathing dogs and doing them for fleas. In the soccer were down to the last handful of games.
If results go right this weekend Newcastle could be mathematically safe (no chance of getting relegated). Sunderland could be relegated.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER RUBYS RASCAL AT CENTRAL PARK.
TONIGHT WE HAVE TWO RUNNERS.
AT SHAWFIELD: AZZURRI GENESIS.
AT POOLE: OH NONONO.

Friday 13th April:
The weather has improved so the main job today is getting the sawdust put on to the gallop which will probably take the best part of the day. A neighbour has offered to come with his machine to put it on which is a major help. The endless task of collecting supplies continues. We have Bramble Swift to collect from Michael Dunnes. We have the silver van back after getting the pipe put back on. Swift My Mate is two days overdue for her pups. If she doesn't have them by tomorrow she will have to go for a C-section.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT.
AT ROMFORD: OLD FORT ELPASO.
AT CENTRAL PARK: NINJA STORM, SWIFT DARTMOOR, SWIFT ASBOLOS, SWIFT THOR AND RUBYS RASCAL.

Thursday 12th April:
Were doing Thursdays journal on Friday morning as I spent the whole of Thursday chasing my tail. I had to collect bagged milk and a whole lot of other bits and pieces. At the kennels were just about over the kennel sickness. The major tidy is just about finished.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SEVEN RUNNERS TONIGHT.
AT MONMORE: SWIFT DRAKE AND PRO DANGER.
AT HOVE: SWIFT TARQUIN, SWIFT DIXON, SWIFT COCONUT, JOVIAL MONK AND OH YESYESYES.
WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT AT SWINDON WHIZZY WONDER.

Wednesday 11th April:
The forecast says its going to be the best day of the year so far with temperatures of up to 15 degrees. Were going to do a major tidy as the weeds are growing again. We will put a heap of bark onto our gardens. I have to get in touch with the accountant as I'm behind with the VAT. The never ending job of collecting supplies will continue today. We have a heap of waste to get rid of. Plus bits and pieces of paperwork.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD TWO WINNERS LAST NIGHT SWIFT MARVELETTE AND REAVEYS RAIDER.
TONIGHT WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS AT SWINDON: SWIFT FIGGY, WHIZZY WONDER AND VATICAN VENICE.

Tuesday 10th April:
Were doing Tuesdays journal on Wednesday morning as the week isn't going to plan. We didn't get the sawdust on to the gallop on Monday but we have three dry days coming and that will be the main job on Friday. The mechanic has returned but we don't have the silver van back yet. We took six broods to Michael Dunnes for testing. Bramble Swift got mated to Makeshift. We got our waste away and kept going at the never ending job of collecting supplies. We were in Portlaoise three times yesterday. We have broods pupping down and everything is going well on that front. Another problem were having is Swift Eva who now lives in the house with me and has become an escape artist.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT.
AT SHEFFIELD: SWIFT BOSCH, CONEY SABELLA AND SWIFT MARVELETTE.
AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT ASBOLOS, REAVEYS RAIDER AND MAYAS LITTLE BRO.

MONDAY 9TH APRIL
Its a nice morning so the main job today is getting the sawdust put on the gallop . We will also get the pipe put back on the silver van . We have broods to monitor that due to pup plus the everyday jobs .ON THE OPEN RACES SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE SIX RUNNERS TONIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM. SWIFT ALBA , FENN TIGER , COLLLSWOOD HAWK SWIFT DITTON AND SWIFT COBRA .
Sunday 8th April:
We start with the big news that Newcastle United are safe from relegation on 38 points. It would take a disaster for them now to get relegated. Eight weeks ago today I was watching Newcastle play Man Utd and when we kicked off Newcastle were in the bottom three. After three wins in a row and six games to go things couldn't have went better in the last two months. Hopefully if somebody is going to buy Newcastle United its sooner rather than later and we can get new signings in during the summer ready for next season. If he cant sell them he wants to give Rafa money and get him on a long contract and we might win something for a change.
Back to the dogs the forecast is getting better but were still getting rain this week. The main jobs of the week is getting the sawdust on to the gallop and starting galloping to prepare them for schooling. The mechanic has gone AWOL so I will have to get the keys off him for the silver van or get him to fix the pipe that came off.
Today were going to walk dogs, do a bit of maintenance and get our waste straw away plus the everyday jobs of cooking, cleaning, feeding and letting out.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT.
AT HENLOW IN THE GOLD CUP FINAL: SWIFT CASEY.
AT KINSLEY: SWIFT NIKOLAJ, OH ARMANI AND SWIFT TARQUIN.
