Retired and ladies no longer with us

Week starting on 01-Jul-2018

Saturday 7th July:
Its a beautiful morning with sunshine forecast once again. As always we have supplies to collect. We have to do a massive tidy up in the garage and freezer. We have bitches who are having pups today that will need to be monitered. We have boxes to make for mothers and pups. Other than that we will do the everyday jobs of cooking, cleaning, feeding and letting out.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT NIKOLAJ AT ROMFORD.

Friday 6th July:
Another warm day and another day for gathering supplies. We nearly have all the bathing of all the hounds done and hopefully we will get that finished tonight. We got both vans serviced and they're running like new. We got our big swap around of pups and saplings done. Were desperate for rain as the grass everywhere is burnt and our gallop with new sawdust is gone rock hard. Newcastle United are starting to make progress in the transfer marked and starting to get rid of the dead wood. If we get Tuesday evening of next week here we will be fully stocked as I have been low on everything. It does no harm to get cleaned out and start with all fresh stuff again.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT GALLOWAY.
TONIGHT WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS.
AT ROMFORD: SWIFT DIXON, SWIFT ANUBIS, REARGUARD GIZMO AND SWIFT NIKOLAJ.

Thursday 5th July:
Its the first overcast morning we have had in over two weeks. We have a major swap around to do from sheds to yards, yards to rearing paddocks, rearing paddocks to the garden paddocks and from the garden paddocks to kennels. We will also worm, spray for fleas and cut nails while we are doing this. We have our waste to take to the dump and as always more supplies to collect.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT HANSEL.
TONIGHT WE HAVE 6 RUNNERS.
AT YARMOUTH: SWIFT GANGSTER, SWIFT TARQUIN, OH NONONO, SWIFT GRAVES AND SWIFT GALLOWAY.
AT HOVE: SWIFT DANIELLE.

Wednesday 4th July:
Its going to be another roasting day. We have our waste straw to take to the processing plant. We have to meet the transporter with dogs that are going to England. A big thank you to everybody who bought a dog. As always we have supplies to collect from the hardware and veg.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAD ONE WINNER LAST NIGHT SWIFT NADIA.
TONIGHT WE HAVE FIVE RUNNERS.
AT SUNDERLAND: SWIFT HANSEL, BRAMBLE RAFA, SWIFT REACTION, AZZURRI GENESIS AND BRAMBLE MILBURN.

Tuesday 3rd July:
The heatwave continues so once again we were limited with what we could do. We got fresh straw and bagged it. All beds were changed and all hounds got a bone. We had a trip to the dump and collected food and expensive nuts for pups.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE THREE RUNNERS TONIGHT.
AT SHEFFIELD: CONEY SABELLA AND CAPPOQUIN JACK.
AT CRAYFORD: SWIFT NADIA.

Monday 2nd July:
We were short staffed on Monday so we were limited in what we could do. It was another scorcher so our main job was monitering young pups and mothers, checking water and hosing down puppy sheds to keep them cool. Other than that we cooked, cleaned, fed and let out.
ON THE OPEN RACE SCENE IN THE UK WE HAVE FOUR RUNNERS TONIGHT.
AT NOTTINGHAM: HOPALONG RANDY, NIDDERDALE SNIPE, SWIFT MELODIC AND NIDDERDALE LARK.

Sunday 1st July:
The start of a very busy week. There is broods due to have pups, broods for testing and mating, an absolute mountain of supplies to collect, we will school at Kilkenny early Wednesday or Thursday morning, we need fish as we havent got a box left. We had a scare last night as the freezer broke down but thankfully Padgie fixed it. Padgie is off today as him and the family are starting to prepare for the new baby. We wouldnt dare gallop with the heat and were only letting dogs out for a few minutes so it will be a day for cooking, cleaning, feeding, letting out and making sure all hounds have water.
